COERR Mae Hong Son Organized Child Protection Referral System
for Youth Participation in Temporary Shelters

   COERR Mae Hong Son organized Child Protection Referral System(CPRS) Training to Youth in Ban Mai Nai Soi Temporary Shelter, Muaeng District, on Septemberber 18, 19 and 26, 2020. The total number of 69 youth participated in the training, comprising of 47 female and 22 male. In Ban Mae Surin Temporary Shelter, Khun Yuam District, there were 32 youth, comprising of 23 female and 9 male, participated in the CPRS training on 11 and 19 September 2020.

   There was a pretest and post-test for trainees about the definition of a child, the meaning of child protection, who are in charge of child protection, what are situation of children at risk and why, how youth can help when a child needs protection, who should be informed when children were in need of protection.

   Next, a survey was made on youth awareness and attitude towards sitation and problems in their community: poverty, quarrel and fight, etc.

   In conclusion, the post test resulted in youth understanding about child protection and their roles to report to community leaders and organizations in charge about the child protection incident for further assistance.
